​I can't thank Charlotte enough for her support during both my pregnancies. Not only did she help manage my pregnancy symptoms, but her expertise in labor preparation was invaluable. The sessions were the only time I felt truly relaxed. I felt so supported and heard during every session. When I went past my due date, Charlotte used specific points to help encourage labor. I’ll admit I was a little skeptical about acupuncture helping to start labor, but I was proved wrong and it worked like a charm! Transformational
I discovered Charlotte and acupuncture about half-way through my journey trying to heal from menstrual pain as a woman in my early 40s. My struggle with menstrual pain started as soon as I got my period at age 14, and got severe enough in later years that several Western-medicine doctors suggested investigating whether I was suffering from endometriosis. However, they never offered a cure.
When I met Charlotte, I had attempted everything: dietary changes, Ayurveda, yoga, mindfulness, going on the pill, getting off the pill, taking ibuprofen... I was at the point in my life when to even imagine I could have my period and not be crippled with debilitating pain for at least three consecutive days.
Imagine my surprise when, on my second month of taking Chinese herbs as prescribed by Charlotte, and after a few sessions of acupuncture with her, my period came... and I was fine. Fine. Like I could meet a friend and go for a walk and basically almost forget I was even bleeding.
It's hard to explain how transformational that can feel to someone who's not been through what I have, but to me, it felt life-changing. And to think that every acupuncture session felt like a trip to the spa: soothing, relaxing, and powerfully healing.

Joy and Positivity
I met Charlotte as a 34 year old woman who had been struggling with fertility for five years with primary ovarian failure. Every blood test brought more sobering news, low progesterone, exceedingly low AMH, high FSH. I was not a great candidate for IVF. Charlotte supported me with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Alongside Charlotte’s treatment I took supplements, ate well, exercised and ultimately had two successful pregnancies aged 35 and 39. IVF had failed but somehow I fell pregnant naturally, twice. In moments when it all felt futile Charlotte was truly the only positive voice in my fertility journey and I cannot recommend her enough. I felt so seen by her in what was at times a complex and emotionally draining fertility experience. Charlotte helped me immensely, she treated my body and brought joy and positivity to the journey. Seeing her weekly was always a pleasure, it was grounding, physically as well as emotionally healing and I am simply so grateful for her treatment.

I have had various practitioners over the years, but none compare to Charlotte. From the moment I met her I was put at ease. Her compassion and understanding is incredible. I have struggled with psoriasis and anxiety for a number of years. There are a lot of factors that can make my conditions worse (and rarely better). I loved that she helped me see and understand a fuller picture with my health and she supported me through acupuncture and Chinese medicine to improve my overall health.
Getting acupuncture from Charlotte is a truly lovely experience. I always find I am eased and relaxed during a treatment. I very often fall asleep and I really find this helps me immensely. So happy with the results
I have been treated by Charlotte for various problems over the years and been so happy with the results .. she has dealt with my painful articulations, back, muscular pain and miraculous knee treatments.. the acupuncture sessions leave me feeling very uplifted and energised and reduced the migraines to almost zero with additional suggestions for tea to help me. I have also been treated with chinese herbs prescribed by Charlotte and very helpful indeed.. She makes you feel safe and empowered
I first visited Charlotte to receive acupuncture because I was struggling to conceive. I am pretty open-minded but I had never tried acupuncture before and I didn’t know anything about Chinese herbal medicine. I therefore had no real idea of what to expect. I was immediately reassured after just one session. Charlotte is a very intuitive person, who listens carefully and well. She is also warm and wise, and makes you feel safe and empowered. Through her approach, I came to believe that she was simply helping my body do what it already knew how to do, rather than ‘fixing’ me. When you are struggling with fertility, that is an incredibly valuable gift.
I will never know what would have happened if I had not visited Charlotte but I feel confident that my treatment is in part responsible for the fact that I became pregnant after only one round of IVF. On top of this, I did not find the IVF unpleasant or stressful. As a long-time sufferer of stress, anxiety and insomnia, I found that Charlotte’s treatment alleviated all of these ailments. It therefore made both my pregnancy journey and my life in general smoother and easier.

Powerful and fully holistic approach
I suffer from a chronic join inflammation disease, and charlotte has treated me many times. Her treatment has always been very powerful for me. Both acupuncture and cupping have helped to ease my pains when they have been at their worst. Charlotte’s approach is amazingly gentle and caring and after seeing her I always feel more hope that things can get better and the great relief that come with someone listening deeply and caring fully about my experience. I wanted to try acupuncture during a stressful time in my life and thinking about fertility further down the line. I searched online and came across Charlotte. I cannot describe what exactly made me contact her but she stood out. From the beginning there was a genuine warmth about her. She was caring, understanding and listened to me. I found Charlotte at one of the hardest moments of my life. I was going through a very difficult period emotionally, which I was also somatising physically. One of the consequences was that my period completely disappeared.
When I first met Charlotte, I had been without menstruation for 20 months, and no doctor or therapy had been able to help me. During our very first acupuncture session, Charlotte told me that with acupuncture and Chinese herbs I should start seeing improvements within three months.
Exactly three months later, my period came back. I honestly couldn’t believe it. I had been so desperate.
Since then, Charlotte has become my regular Chinese medicine practitioner, and she helps me with any issue that comes up through Chinese medicine. I trust her deeply and feel very supported in her care.

Complex fertility, menstruation and inflammation issues
I’ve been having accupuncture with Charlotte for over a year now (on and off). My overall experience has been very good and I would highly recommend her (and have done so to family members).
Having had accupuncture with quite a few other practitioners previously and simultaneously, I would say that Charlotte’s treatment and manor makes me feel the most relaxed where I can fall into the deepest (well needed) sleep. I suffer from very heavy periods and had started to get all sorts of pms symptoms including, horrid headaches, palpitations, fatigue, moodiness, insomnia etc. My symptoms were all diminished by the accupuncture. I've become very sensitive to drugs and even herbs in recent years and having explained this to Charlotte, she ensured that she uses a softer approach that works for me. I was dreading the IVF drugs and process due to my sensitivity, however with weekly accupuncture sessions with Charlotte throughout the IVF, I didn’t have any adverse reactions at all. I’m due another IVF round and will continue therapy with Charlotte throughout.
I have recommended Charlotte to family members with different issues like back pain due to slip disc and chronic neck pain due to jaw clenching and other complex issues. Charlotte has been brilliant with both especially the latter where she provided a complete holistic approach, explanation, linking metabolic issues to the neck pain, and provided advice beyond our expectations! Highly recommend!!

Charlotte took the time
I’ve never been very comfortable around needles, so acupuncture wasn’t something I ever thought I would try. I was dealing with a lot of anxiety and stress, frequent migraines, and the uncertainty that came with IVF with my partner so I decided to give it a try. I went in not really knowing what to expect.
Charlotte took the time to understand what was happening in my life, not just the physical symptoms. Her treatments and herbal suggestions genuinely helped (the needles didn’t hurt at all), and my migraines became less frequent.
I also genuinely feel her support and care played a really important part in our IVF being successful and my partner becoming pregnant, and I’m so grateful for everything she did for us.
I’d highly recommend Charlotte to anyone considering acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbs. She really knows her stuff but she is also very approachable, thoughtful, welcoming, funny and kind.

Help with long-standing menstrual problems
Charlotte has supported me through preconception, pregnancy and postpartum. During these seasons of my health journey, she has helped with long-standing premenstrual spotting and menstrual cycle irregularities as well as thyroid issues and depletion during the postpartum period. Deeply grateful
I had never seen an acupuncturist before meeting Charlotte, and I’m truly grateful she was recommended to me. I first went to her during a really difficult period, dealing with ongoing fertility challenges and several losses. I had a basic understanding of traditional Chinese medicine, but it wasn’t until working with her that I realised how much the treatments and herbs could genuinely support me.
From the first appointment, I felt taken seriously and listened to, it never felt rushed. Charlotte has a calm, practical way of talking through things, and she knows how to ask questions in a way that help you feel understood. Her sense of humour also brought some lightness at times when I really needed it. I always left her treatments feeling better than when I arrived.
When I eventually started IVF, she became one of the constants in that whole daunting process. Her support, whether it was treatment, advice, or simply being someone who was really empathetic about what I was going through, made a real difference. I genuinely believe her involvement played a part in the IVF finally working, and I’m incredibly grateful that it led to the safe arrival of our healthy baby. At 42, I had been told by many other people that this was very unlikely to happen. She also encouraged me to trust my instincts when choosing consultants, even when that meant seeking treatment abroad. It was a big and overwhelming decision at the time, but it proved to be the right one.
It’s hard to fully explain the impact she had but I do know I wouldn’t have navigated my fertility maze in the same way without her. I’m deeply grateful for her support, and the role she played in helping us finally have our much loved and wanted baby.
